Beware of email hackers and viruses

Yet another members email address has been hacked.
If you receive an email from a club member asking for money due to a robbery then please delete it immediately and run a virus scan.

Virus Warning

Over the last week I have received spam emails from 4 different members of the club. It would appear that their contact list has been hacked and a virus email then sent to all the emails addresses.
The emails are characterised by the content being just a url link to a web site.. I suggest that you delete these emails and run a virus scan on your hard disc.

Re Viruses
A timely reminder that when forwarding emails received from other people to make sure any email names are deleted and use the Bcc address, so that recipients do not see other peoples names. The same ,of course, applies when sending your own email to more than one person.I know most members know this but....
