Run Etiquette

Members should:- Obey the Highway Code

Ensure that the cycle is roadworthy and fitted with effective mudguards in wet weather.
Be personally responsible and behave with consideration for other road users
Will ride in single file on busy roads, or when requested to by the leader or other members of the group.

To prevent rides becoming disjointed and avoid unnecessarily stopping at junctions, members should remain behind
the leader except when climbing hills. In such cases those at the top of the climb first should slow down or wait, as
appropriate for the rest of the group.

Should inform their leader prior to leaving a club run.

Runs leaders may divide their ride into smaller groups and appoint leader(s) for such groups.

In the event of a puncture, the group will ensure that the rider has adequate support, either, by delaying the group
or by designating a member of the group to stay behind to help.

Those who have been first aid trained may wish to carry first aid kits

If designated leaders are unable to lead a ride, they shall arrange a replacement leader and give adequate notice
to the group co-ordinator or runs secretary.

Thank you for your continuing support.
