Good afternoon!
My name is Cassie and I’m a volunteer for St Christopher’s Hospice. I am writing to ask if you could please help us to promote our one-off event, the 50:50 London to Paris Cycle, which will be celebrating St Christopher’s Hospice’s 50th birthday!
We would be really grateful for your help in attracting interest in our event by displaying the attached poster. Seeing a poster is still one of the most effective ways that people find out about our events – your help with this is really appreciated. I have attached a digital copy but can post you some also if you’d like. We also have information packs for this event, if you would like some please contact me or download from our website at www.stchristophers.org.uk/londontoparis
St Christopher’s is facing an ever increasing demand for specialised end of life care and with only a third of our costs being paid by the NHS it is essential we maximise our fundraising efforts. We would not be able to provide our vital services, free of charge, to those patients and their families in desperate need of our care without the support of people like you in our local community.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you very much.Cassie Bushell

St Christopher’s was founded in 1967 by Dame Cicely Saunders to provide and promote care of the highest quality for dying people. Our vision is based on Dame Cicely’s belief that compassionate care embraces emotional, spiritual and practical support as well as pain and symptom control. Our services extend to family and loved ones, both during the illness and in bereavement.
Today St Christopher's cares for over 2,500 dying people each year with 750 patients being cared for in their own homes on any given day. We serve an ethnically and socially diverse area of London, covering Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, Croydon, and Bromley. Our education services benefit healthcare professionals worldwide.

The details of Sportives are being published in most cycling magazines at the moment, but you might have to wait until the new year for a comprehensive list. Two sportives which have been well supported by Meridian riders are the Suffolk 100 and the Castle Ride (also 100 miles) from Tonbridge. Both are organised by Action for Medical Research which is well known for its slick organisation. The Suffolk 100 is on May 11th and the Castle Ride is a week later. The Suffolk route is flatter and faster, but can be prone to those east winds and the Castle Ride is quite hilly but has the advantage of being nearer to home. I will be organising a group for the Suffolk ride and will be booking overnight accommodation in late February/early March, so let me know if you are interested. You can get details of both rides by a Google search on “Action for Medical Research” or by searching on the Suffolk Sunrise 100 or the Castle Ride.

e, supported accommodation, a range of day service activities and one to one support to those living independently in the community. Based just outside Tunbridge Wells in Kent, we have been a registered charity for over 85 years.
We believe that people with a learning disability should have the same right to a happy and fulfilled life as anyone else and should able to play a full and active role in society.
I do hope that the attached information for a 24hr cycle ride will be of interest to your members. It requires teams of 4 to take part and Pepenbury is the charity that funds are being raised for. It is hoped to raise £16438, this amount is how much it cost to run Pepenbury every day.
Kind regards
