Danny
No punctures for ages, then two in one day, anyone know the best tyres for our rubbish roads?

Hi Danny
I have been using Continental Grand Prix 4 Seasons for last winter and this autumn and touch wood no punctures. I find them better than Gatorskins as they grip and roll better and do not nick as easily.

Hi Bob, I use the same as you and have found them quite good until now.

John

This may be a long shot, but do you if late your tyres to the correct pressure be fore each ride?
If a tyre is inflated to the correct pressure it stands a better chance of shedding shards.
With our roads being in such poor condition I and sorry to say this is one of the drawbacks of cycling.

I often use Scwalbe Marathon Plus. The 700c are like riding concrete. The Marathon Plus 26inch are like riding sticky concrete! Character building - but I've never had a puncture. Unlike plain Marathons which I've punctured loads of times. Not sure how narrow they make them though...! See yer Bob

That's that theory out of the window then !
As John said I do inflate mine to 110psi and I don't weigh much.

I inflate mine to 100 pbs, but thanks boys for all your info.

Glad to hear you're all pumped up Danny. This Bob never doubted it. Though you'd think by now there'd be some half usable solid tires around to save the hassle. The Schwalbe Marathon Plus just FEEL like solid tires! Bob
